So in the summer of 2011 I turned up to a festival with a single-skin popup tent [Note: stupid idea], a sleeping bag and a ukulele. I busked for my food the whole time, and made some very good friends. This is a song about that.

Leave and travel fast
You've many miles, but not much time to clock them.
Travel by train and foot
Keep your load light so you can last

Clothes to last a week
Packed in twenty minutes
Nowt to eat or drink
Water bottle needs filling

I'll just busk it up here for a while
See if I can win them with a smile or a smirk or something

We met here by chance
Right out at the back
Kept me fed and watered
Helped me to relax

I could offer songs
I could offer little
You saw nothing wrong
Put me in the middle

I'l just busk it up here for a while
See if I can win them with a smile or a smirk or something
I don't mind camping up on bumpy ground
When new friends smooth it over with a set of tools and methods.

from Breakfast At / Dinner At, released February 20, 2014
Additional vocals by my Kieron Menniss and Helena Heath.

Lunchtime! Canterbury, UK

Lunchtime! is Reverie Menniss, an odd one, from Canterbury, Kent.

They write twinkly/mathy/tappy songs about failing to function.

They're in like 30 bands or some shit, and make ambient music at twitch.tv/themenniss
